How to remove lead based paint from an old home?

Our home is old and was built in the late 60’s. Im so sure that the paint originally used has lead. We have repainted our house over the years but I am afraid that the original lead paint might leach into the newer paint and still be dangerous. How do you remove the lead paint? Do we sand the walls all the way down?Submited by:Erika
